Joy In Trust Fulfilled

My First paragraph with bold text.

Day 15  Joy in Trust Fulfilled

Luke 1:39–45, NIV  39 At that time Mary got ready and hurried to a town in the hill country of Judea, 40 where she entered Zechariah’s home and greeted Elizabeth.41 When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. 42 In a loud voice she exclaimed: “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the child you will bear! 43 But why am I so favored, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? 44 As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy. 45 Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!”

When Mary visited Elizabeth, two expectant mothers met—but more profoundly, two miracles of God’s promise came face-to-face. The moment Mary greeted Elizabeth, the baby within Elizabeth leaped for joy, and she was filled with the Holy Spirit. Elizabeth’s response wasn’t jealousy or comparison—it was joyful recognition of God’s work in another’s life.

In a world where it’s easy to compare our journeys to others, Elizabeth’s example reminds us that true joy comes when we celebrate God’s blessings in those around us. She honored Mary’s faith and affirmed what God was doing through her. Mary, in turn, found encouragement and confirmation that she was walking in God’s purpose.

When we recognize and rejoice in how God is working in others, we not only strengthen them—we also open our hearts to greater joy and community. God’s Spirit still moves in these encounters, affirming His promises and uniting us in shared faith.

Reflect: When have you felt genuine joy at seeing God work in someone else’s life? How can you be more intentional about encouraging others in their faith journey?

Pray:  Lord, help me to see and celebrate the ways You are working in others. Fill me with the same joy and humility Elizabeth showed, and may my words bring encouragement and affirmation to those following Your call. Amen.
