Can't be here for Inside Out Sunday?
Here are easy instructions for making Manna Bags at home!
(Exodus 16:14-15)
Help create a gift to share
with someone in need. When they ask “What is it?” Tell them, “It’s something
the LORD has given to you.”
Assemble these simple bags that can be kept in your car and lovingly handed out to one in need. Make several to have on hand or to share with a ministry serving our unhoused friends so that they, too, can extend that gift to others.
At the church we have used simple drawstring bags, but you could also just use strong gallon-sized zip
storage bags. Inside the bags, we have included a number of items.
Here is a list of examples:
• Prepackaged bags of beef jerky
• Peanut butter cracker
•Toothbrush/toothpase
• Soap
• Microfiber towel
•Non-melting sweet treat
Other items that have been added by others when appropriate:
• Water bottles
•Hand warmers (when in winter)
• Hand sanitizer
• Small gift card
• Post-it notes and pen
We hope you are blessed in the work, blessed in the sharing and that others are blessed in the receiving of God’s love and care (“manna”) through you.
